E 'in 2011 and still there are people that when you say you are a psychologist, you respond that you are a of those who speculate on the pain of people.
If providing a professional service means mirror, then yes. And the professional service that a psychologist or psychotherapist grant has just to do with the pain of the people.
Just like a dentist.
Just as an orthopedist.
Just like a plumber (indirectly).
We make people feel better, or better, we try, and in doing so we try to earn a salary (which still does not come anyway ...). But because the psychologist for this "speculation" on pain of people as a doctor but is a serious professional?
The ignorance of some people is really annoying at times, but the fault is also in our category that has never been able to exploit its importance.
Fortunately, people like what I mentioned there are not many, or rather, I meet many, but it is true that the category could enjoy a better reputation and see better recognition of its professionalism.
